Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 450 head Nov. 11, compared to 735 head last week and 800 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, there was no test on feeder steers or heifers. Steer and heifer calves were steady in a limited test. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 43% steers, 53% heifers with 22% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $4 to $5.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were $3 lower. A total of 152 cows and bulls sold with 47% to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 315 lbs., 123.00; 410 to 419 lbs., 112.50 to 113.00 (112.52); 6 head, 542 lbs., 103.00; 5 head, 628 lbs., 90.50 calves; 11 head, 743 lbs., 92.00 calves. Medium and large frame 2, 9 head, 516 lbs., 95.00; 12 head, 780 lbs., 87.75. Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 536 lbs., 93.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 325 to 333 lbs., 100.00 to 105.00 (100.80); 16 head, 352 lbs., 97.00 to 100.00 (97.38); 31 head, 448 lbs., 95.75; 5 head, 490 lbs., 96.00; 8 head, 506 to 526 lbs., 90.00 to 94.00 (92.46); 10 head, 613 to 616 lbs., 81.00 to 82.00 (81.50) calves. Medium and large frame 2, 5 head, 507 lbs., 83.50. Slaughter cows: Breakers, 6 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1200 to 1500 lbs., 40.50; high dressing, 43.00; low dressing, 37.00 to 38.25. Boners, 18 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1200 to 1500 lbs., 40.00 to 40.50; high dressing, 42.00; low dressing, 37.00 to 38.50. Lean, 31 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1000 to 1350 lbs., 36.50 to 38.00; low dressing, 34.50 to 35.75. Light, 12 head, 85 to 90% lean, 750 to 1000 lbs., 34.00 to 34.50; low dressing, 30.00 to 33.50. Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 and 2, 6 head, 1400 to 2200 lbs., 49.00 to 52.50; low dressing, 45.00 to 46.00. Replacement cows: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 6 to 9 years old, 1000 to 1100 lbs., 4 to 7 months bred, average blacks, 710.00 to 785.00.
