Aberdeen cattle sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 5,451 head Nov. 11, compared to 3,208 head last week and 5,231 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, yearling feeder steers were steady to $1 higher, yearling feeder heifers were steady. Steer calves were steady to $3 higher. Heifer calves under 600 pounds were $2 to $4 higher and heifer calves over 600 pounds were steady. There was good to very good demand on all types of cattle. Receipts were 55% steers, 45 heifers, with 57% over 600 pounds.
