Tulia livestock auction reportThe Tulia Livestock Auction, Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 2,70 head Nov. 9, compared to 2,636 head last week and 3,211 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were mostly steady. Slaughter cows and bulls were $2 to $3 lower. Trade and demand were moderate to good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 400- to 900-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 2% of the offering, replacement cows less than 1%, and feeders 97%. The feeder supply included 55% steers, 2% bulls and 43% heifers, with nearly 64% of the run over 600 pounds.
