Georgia livestock sales reportThe summary of livestock auctions in Georgia for the week ending Nov. 6, totaled 10,524 head, compared to 10,112 head last week and 9,647 head last year, according to the USDA-Georgia Department of Agriculture Market News, Thomasville, Ga. Compared to one week ago, slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower, bulls were $2 to $3 lower, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 higher, steer calves and heifer calves were $1 to $2 higher, replacement cows were $1 to $3 higher. The offering included 9% steers over 600 pounds, 35% steers under 600 pounds, 7% heifers over 600 pounds, 25% heifers under 600 pounds, 9% feeder cows, 12% slaughter cows and 3% bulls.
