Colorado feeder cattle reportThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 14,507 head Nov. 6, compared to 8,145 head last week and 10,669 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, steer calves were mostly $2 to $3 lower. Heifer calves were mostly $1 lower. Feeder steers were $2 to $3 higher. Feeder heifers were unevenly steady. Demand and market activity was moderate. There was a sharp increase in offerings this week due to several loads of cattle that were unable to reach the markets last week due to the winter storm. The supply was made up of 58% feeder steers, and the balance feeder heifers, with nearly 32% of total feeder supply was over 600 pounds.
