Texhoma livestock sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 735 head Nov. 4, compared to 2,130 head last week and 800 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady in limited test. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher. Steer and heifer calves in limited test. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 28% steers, 70% heifers with 87% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 131 cows and bulls sold with 66% to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 484 lbs., 108.00; 534 to 537 lbs., 105.00 to 107.50 (107.08); 5 head, 587 lbs., 99.00; 13 head, 695 to 698 lbs., 93.00 to 93.50 (93.31) calves; 14 head, 787 lbs., 93.75; 800 to 813 lbs., 92.50 to 94.25 (93.51). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 18 head, 706 to 738 lbs., 95.00 to 95.50 (95.13); 40 head, 844 lbs., 93.25. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 473 lbs., 100.50; 11 head, 517 lbs., 95.50 to 98.00 (96.86); 11 head, 550 to 566 lbs., 89.50 to 94.00 (90.50); 15 head, 647 lbs., 90.75; 26 head, 691 lbs., 88.85; 709 to 720 lbs., 89.10 to 91.00 (89.71); 758 to 795 lbs., 88.35 to 90.00 (88.80). Medium and large frame 2, 25 head, 780 lbs., 84.75. Slaughter cows: Breakers, 17 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1150 to 1550 lbs., 44.50 to 45.00. Boners, 31 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1000 to 1400 lbs., 44.00 to 46.00; high dressing, 47.00 to 48.25; low dressing, 41.00 to 41.50. Lean, 30 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1000 to 1375 lbs., 42.00 to 44.50; high dressing, 45.50 to 47.50; low dressing, 38.00 to 41.50. Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 19 head, 1400 to 2200 lbs., 54.25 to 56.50; high dressing, 58.00; low dressing, 45.50 to 50.50.
