South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales for the week ending May 15 totaled 2,200 head, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder lambs were firm to $5 higher. There were not enough slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes or slaughter meat goats. Trading and demand were moderate.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 2200 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 to 80 lbs., 125.00 to 131.00.
