2010 High Plains No-Till Conference plans underway

Producers should note the location for the 22nd High Plains No-Till Conference has been moved from Greeley to Burlington. The dates of the conference will be Feb. 2 to 3, 2010, at the Burlington Community Center next to Old Town. The format of the conference will include more breakout sessions and more opportunity to hear from vendors, a wider variety of University personnel, as well as producers.

Plans for the High Plains No-Till Conference began before the 2009 Conference ended.

Keynote speaker will be Mr. Murray Wise, of the Westchester Group Inc., out of Champaign, Ill. Westchester is a company founded on integrity and excellence, motivated by a common goal: to help producers achieve the highest possible return on their agricultural investments. The experts at Westchester Inc., are experienced in farm and asset management and dedicated to protecting, maintaining and improving a producer's farmland investment, while maximizing their returns. To learn more about Murray Wise and the Westchester Group, go to www.murrywise.net or www.weschester-group.com.

The High Plains No-Till Conference is sponsored by the Colorado Conservation Tillage Association and the National Sunflower Administration. The "call for presentations," deadline is Aug. 1. Call for presentation forms are on the High Plains No-Till website, www.HighPlainsNoTill.com. CCTA is looking for presentations from producers currently doing no-till or sharing of practices that have enhanced no-till operations, University personnel doing research on no-till or related no-till practices, and commercial educational information.

Plan now to attend the 22nd High Plains No-Till Conference, Feb. 2 to 3, 2010, and note the new location of Burlington, Colo.
