During the first board meeting of the newly comprised KCA Board, directors elected to have Lee Robbins of Yates Center as the new KCA President. Robbins, has been on the board for two years and has previously served as vice president of the KCA Board.
"Lee is one of us, He is an independent producer, and he will fight for our cause. There are other leaders in other organizations who want to downsize our industry to match the market where Lee will truly represent us as independent producers", stated immediate past President, David Pfrang.
Appointed to the vice president position is Rick Chambers of Hays. "Rick Chambers will be a great vice president. He knows the issues, and he is well-rounded in the beef industry", Robbins declared.
Daryl Larson remains the secretary/treasurer of the board. This is Larson's third consecutive year in the position and has been a tremendous asset to KCA. "Daryl takes his job seriously. He accepts his position in a non-profit organization with great exuberance", Board Director Perry Owens commented.
"Lee is a source of young blood and will be good for KCA. Daryl and Rick will continue to provide the leadership and experience that we need. There couldn't be three better people to help lead this association", remarked KCA founder, Mike Schultz.
KCA is pleased to announce the executive committee of the board, as they are joined by second year board members Perry Owens of Minneapolis and Hal Luthi of Madison, and new board members Ivan Reimer of Meade, Ronnie Rogers of Cedar Vale and Paul Acton on Blue Mound.
