KCA recognizes leaders in industryKansas KCA has been on the receiving end of three great leaders of the cattle industry. The association is driven by its members, but each year our producer members elect new leaders to represent the association and trust these leaders to guide the association. Three years ago, seasoned cattlemen, David Pfrang, Mike Schultz and Ken Winter took on the responsibility of leading the KCA. Pfrang and Winter have both served two different terms in office and have both held the position of President of the Board. Pfrang served as president from 2008-2009 and Winter served as president from 2002-2003 and 2007-2008. Schultz, the founder of KCA, was the Chief Executive Officer for seven years prior to being elected to the board in 2006. "David, Mike, and Ken are tremendous assets to KCA and have been and continue to be leaders in the cattle industry. Although they will be missed as part of the KCA Board, they will remain involved in the association and will undoubtedly continue to bring forth a positive contribution to the future of independent producers," stated KCA Executive Director, Brandy Carter "It is very intimidating to take on this role. These three men have left very big shoes to fill," newly elected board member, Paul Acton stated. Board member Ronnie Rogers commented, "The value of all of their leadership, energy, and time contributed to the Association has been appreciated by all." All three outgoing board members are role models for cattlemen and the current board. They have shown strength and character in the face of adversity. KCA's progression within the industry is due in part to all three men.
