ALB announces the second round of the 2009 cooperative funding programs
The American Lamb Board is now soliciting the second round of cooperative funding programs: The Matching Grant Programs and The Supplier Cooperative Funding Program were designed to leverage funds to further promote American Lamb.
The Industry Matching Grant Program has $20,000 available to fund projects and activities that promote American Lamb. The American Lamb Board strongly encourages collaborative partnerships between suppliers, first handlers, retailers, festivals, researchers, foodservice operators, etc. All projects require a $1 for $1 cash match. The deadline for submitting applications is June 30.
The Supplier Cooperative Funding Program has $30,000 available for American Lamb Suppliers to promote American Lamb products in the retail and/or foodservice sector. The funds are intended for suppliers to cost share marketing American Lamb through retail or foodservice promotions. The deadline for submitting applications is June 1.

The American Lamb Board is a national promotion, research and information organization whose purpose is to strengthen the position of lamb and lamb products in domestic and foreign markets. The 13-member board, appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture, is composed of six producers, three feeders, one seedstock producer and three first handlers. The work of the Board is overseen by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agriculture Marketing Service. All grants approved by ALB are subject to USDA's review and approval.
