Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 2,150 head March 4, compared to 1,076 head last week and 2,800 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week; Feeder steers were $2 to $4 higher, 650 to 700 pounds were $6 higher. Feeder heifers were $4 higher. Steer and heifer calves were $3 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average, few gaunt. The supply included 86% over 600 pounds and 24% heifers. The slaughter cows and bulls were not well tested. A total of 50 cows and bulls sold with 38% to packers.
