Superior video auction reportThe Superior Video Auction reported offerings of 42,200 head Feb. 27, according to the USDA to Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to the last sale, feeder steers and heifers traded generally steady to $4 lower with the least decline on the lighter weights, especially those for spring deliveries that were not well tested the previous sale. The supply includes 70% feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds, 62% of supply were steers and 38% heifers. Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2 to 3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 3 to 6 cent slide on yearlings and 4 to 10 on calves. Deliveries current through June 2009.
