The Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, Feb. 27, showed receipts of 2,818 head, compared to 1,392 head last week, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
This was the Western Iowa Precondition Feeder Calf Sale. Compared to two weeks ago steers under 700 pounds were $2 to $3 lower, steers over 700 pounds were $2 higher. Heifers were steady. Moderate supply with good demand. The receipts included 51% steers and 49% heifers, with 62% cattle weighing over 600 pounds.
