The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 3,604 head March 4, compared to 6,289 head last week and 5,201 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder steers sold $2 to $3 higher. Heifers sold steady to $2 higher. Demand was good, with many buyers on hand. Steers comprised 69% of the run, heifers 31%, with 91% over 600 pounds.
