NRCS state technical committee to meet March 7 in Huron

The Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold their regularly scheduled session of the State Technical Committee on March 17, at the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center in Huron, S.D. The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 10 a.m. The STC serves as an advisor to the NRCS State Conservationist.
The tentative agenda for the meeting will include a 2008 farm bill programs update. These programs include the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program, Wetlands Reserve Program, Grasslands Reserve Program, and Farm and Ranch Protection Program. Other topics of discussion include the Conservation Reserve Program.
