Southeast Colorado Prescribed Fire Training April 7 to 10

Local conservation districts are partnering with Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory and many others to provide a free Prescribed Fire Training workshop April 7 to 10 in Kim, Colo. Branson-Trinchera and Baca County Conservation District invite you to this intensive training designed for landowners and resource professionals.
Learn Colorado burn law, NRCS burn policy, fire plans and considerations, fire effects, fire safety, smoke management, fire breaks, ignition techniques, planning prescribed burns/creating plans, and about prescribed burn associations. In addition to classroom time, attendees will get on-the-ground experience conducting burns and learn about fire safety and the effects of prescribed fire by executing a prescribed burn on the Bader Ranch.
