Powell center hosts Pasture Demo Day

Wyoming

Starting irrigated pastures, drilling seed in rangeland pastures, and grass varieties are among topics at Pasture Demo Day, April 4, at the University of Wyoming's Powell Research and Extension Center.

The free sessions are 9 a.m. to noon. Topics include: field preparation, harrowing and seeding methods for irrigated pastures, cool/warm grass varieties, foxtail barley control, pasture irrigation, tractor safety, rangeland pastures and native grasses in pasture.

Pasture grass variety information will be presented from the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service, PREC, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service Bridger Plant Materials Center in Bridger, Mont.
