Eskimo Joe's celebrates Oklahoma 4-H Centennial

Oklahoma

Oklahoma 4-H is celebrating 100 years and Eskimo Joe's has released its first-ever 4-H design in honor of the organization's milestone.

"4-H has such a positive impact on youth and has such a strong presence in Oklahoma," said Stan Clark, president and founder of Eskimo Joe's. "We are pleased to partner with them and provide a design to help commemorate their centennial celebration."

Oklahoma 4-H, which had more than 127,000 youth participants in 2007, provides life skill development through learning by doing. Charles Cox, state 4-H program leader, said he was honored that Eskimo Joe's was willing to produce a commemorative T-shirt for the 4-H centennial.

"Eskimo Joe's has traditionally been a landmark for 4-Hers when they come to Stillwater for judging contests, State 4-H Roundup and other 4-H events," Cox said. "Having a 4-H shirt produced by Eskimo Joe's just seemed like a perfect way to celebrate the centennial."

A portion of the shirts sales will be donated by Eskimo Joe's to the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation. The commemorative 4-H full-color front design features an array of 4-H projects including livestock, rocketry, gardening, robotics and others along with the Oklahoma 4-H Centennial logo. The back design features the 4-H motto, "To Make the Best Better," along with the 4-H clover and a blue ribbon. It is printed on an oxford gray short sleeve shirt and is available in sizes youth, extra small, through 3XL adult. The shirts are available at Joe's Clothes World Headquarters in Stillwater, Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa, Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City, by calling 800-256-JOES or online at www.eskimojoes.com.
