$1,000 reward for horse believed stolen in NebraskaMALCOLM, Neb. (AP)--A Nebraska family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the return of their stolen quarter horse, Star. Her absence was first noted on June 13. She wasn't near her mother, Taffy, in the Malcolm pasture they share with about two dozen other horses. Star's owners, Susan and Bill Frinks, and pasture owner Pamela Wolfe searched the 20-acre parcel and nearby land in hopes the rodeo-trained mare had just gotten out. They didn't find Star and now believe the horse has been stolen. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says the Frinks reported the theft on June 14. Star was valued at $12,000. The Frinks figure that if the reward leads them to Star, they'll find the horse thief.
