Ag department to launch electronic newsletter

Kansas

The Kansas Department of Agriculture will begin publishing a quarterly electronic newsletter, the KDA Connection, in July to share with its customers and all interested Kansans stories that explain the department's role in food safety, consumer protection, environmental protection and water resource management.

"The newsletter will include recurring features like the Secretary's Column, Ask KDA and Employee of the Quarter, as well as stories that highlight work performed by our various programs," said Secretary of Agriculture Adrian Polansky. "We want readers to gain a better understanding of our wide range of regulatory responsibilities, the work we perform and the types of professionals we hire."

The newsletter will enhance the department's existing communication through news releases, its website and program-specific newsletters already in publication.

To sign up to receive the electronic newsletter, visit the department's website at www.ksda.gov/mailing_list/id/86.
