Make plans to join us for the Annual Ellis County Wheat Plot tour to be held on June 2 beginning at 6 p.m. View popular and newer releases of wheat varieties and hear what Extension agronomist have to say about each, and as always, there will be ample time for questions and answers. A brief overall of the world wheat market outlook and situation trends will be discussed.
A special addition this year to the tour is a brief but very informative sprayer nozzle presentation by Bob Wolfe, KSU Sprayer Technology specialist. He will demonstrate the different sprayer nozzles on a spraying unit, show the differences of droplet and particle size with different pressures and nozzles and demonstrate practical drift reduction applications that any farmer can do. Dr. Wolfe's practical research and application makes him a sought out speaker throughout the country.
