PIERRE, S.D. (AP)--A federal appeals court has upheld a Minnesota man's prison sentence of more than four years for selling stolen baling twine to farmers and ranchers in South Dakota.
Thomas A. Green of Shakopee had pleaded guilty to conspiring to transport stolen goods across state lines. He admitted arranging the theft of twine from Dart Advantage Warehouse in Eagan, Minn., between 2000 and 2006, and then selling it in South Dakota.
U.S. District Judge Charles Kornmann sentenced Green to 50 months in prison and ordered that he pay restitution.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says the sentence was reasonable.
