Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for June 29, reported in futures trading that Chicago July soft red winter wheat was $5.20 1/2, down 5 3/4 cents, September wheat was $5.57 3/4, down 5 1/4 cents; July corn, $3.77, down 7 1/4 cents; and August soybeans, $11.28, down 6 cents.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $6.41 1/2 to $6.52, up 2 to down 2 1/2 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $5.30 1/2 to $5.18 1/2, down 20 3/4 to 15 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.18 to $4.24, down 13 1/4 to 7 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $4.46 to $6.73, down 13 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, was unavailable; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $12.75 to $12.88, up 7 to 14 cents.

Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $5.24.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $5.23 to $5.46.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 8 cents lower, at $4.07.

In north central Colorado, wheat was $5.02 to $5.31.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $4.92 to $5.10.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.03 to $5.27.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $4.92 to $5.22.

In south central Colorado, wheat was $4.54.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $4.96 to $5.03.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 7 cents lower and $3.37 to $3.77 per bushel.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $3.37 to $3.60.

In east central Colorado, corn was $3.29 to $3.37.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $3.47 to $3.60.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $3.35 to $3.42 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 12 to 14 cents lower at $5.07 to $5.21 per cwt.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 6 cents lower at $10.92 to $11.05 per bushel.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $5 to $5.50 per cwt., mostly $5.50.

Sunflowers were $15 to $16 cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $3.37 to $3.63 per bushel. Barley was steady at $7.50.

In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $28 to $30 per cwt. Great Northerns were steady at $28. Light red kidneys were not established.
