Funding the Future Sale--"are you part of it?"

The Funding the Future Sale will be held in conjunction with the National Junior Shorthorn Show & Youth Conference in Springfield, Ill. The popularity of the Shorthorn breed amongst juniors across the country is evident as junior memberships and entries at the National Junior Shorthorn show continue to rise. With this promising growth comes a need for increased funding to provide our membership with educational opportunities, a stronger program of work, and larger and larger facilities to host the national event.

All funds raised in the Funding the Future Sale will support the American Junior Shorthorn Association program and assist in the future Junior National host states to offset the growing cost of providing a successful event. No sales commissions, sales management fees, or catalog costs will be withheld as the entire staff has donated their time and efforts to assist the cause.

This year's sale offers a number of sought after embryo lots as well as miscellaneous trips and packages and a silent semen auction. The sale will begin at 6 p.m., July 2 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ill., with a free dinner and kick-off presentation by next year's Junior National host state of Michigan.

A sale catalog can be found at www.shorthorn.org, or contact the ASA at 877-272-0686 or info@shorthorn.org to have one mailed.
