Central City Scale provides expandable platform scale systems
More and more farm operations are experiencing the need to add to their existing scale systems. Growth and diversity in farming now require proper and correct records be kept not only on a crop being taken in, but also storage grain being taken to the elevator.
Operations demand continuous access to their grain inventory and accurate weight information on what's coming in and what's going out. With many operations, this can be accomplished by measuring axle weight on smaller platforms. However, with larger more frequent semi loads, adding on a larger platform scale will save time.
Central City Scale with their experience can recommend, install and service standard platform 10- by 30-foot scale to 10- by 70-foot scales. Capacities vary from 60,000 to 140,000 pounds, all with highly accurate Weigh-Tronix scale systems. They also offer scale kits and plans for do-it-yourself platform scales.
Portable platform scale systems measure 8-feet 1/2-inch by 10-feet 8-inches. Single or tandem axles will fit on the platform. Extra heavy steel frame is used. Fifty thousand pound capacity is standard, using rugged 99.75 percent accuracy Weigh-Tronix weight bars.
During the rush of harvest, every minute and every bushel counts. A grain cart scale from Central City Scale can make a difference. With a typical accuracy of 1/2 of 1 percent, our grain cart scales allow in-the-field weighing of crops for maximum grain truck loads, checks on crop yields, and an easy way to calibrate yield monitors. Scales can be customized to your particular grain cart--even older models not designed for scales. Retrofit kits are available.
