Nebraskans appointed to USDA positions

WASHINGTON (AP)--A former lieutenant governor of Nebraska and the acting director of the Nebraska Farm Service Agency have been appointed to positions with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Federal officials announced June 29 that Maxine Moul has been appointed USDA rural development director for Nebraska. She had served as lieutenant governor from 1990 to 1993.

Dan Steinkruger has been named director of the Nebraska Farm Service Agency. A news release from the USDA says he has 32 years of program management and supervisory experience in federal farm programs.
