The Kansas Cattlemen's Association will be holding its second annual summer conference in Dodge City Aug. 6. The event will take place at the Dodge House from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will feature many different activities and speakers. The conference is just one way KCA works to provide vital information for producers and the public regarding the agriculture industry.
KCA, founded 11 years ago, strives to support independent Kansas businesses and producers. It is also committed to restoring profits, self-esteem, freedom, fair trade, trust and community pride back to the farms, ranches and rural communities across Kansas and the nation.
Recently, the Kansas Cattlemen's Association has been working hard on issues such as opposing the mandatory National Animal Identification System, supporting country-of-origin labeling, opposing regulations on livestock emissions and protecting producers' property rights.
Registration is open until July 24 and the cost is $25. Lunch and supper will be available at an additional charge. Late registrations and walk-ins will be accepted with a registration fee of $30. Contact KCA for more information or a registration form.
