New Texas AgriLife Extension agent named to serve Briscoe, Hall countiesTexas Molly Forman, a native of Silverton, has been named the new Texas AgriLife Extension Service family and consumer science agent in Briscoe and Hall counties, according to Dr. Galen Chandler, AgriLife Extension regional program director. "I am pleased to have Molly join the AgriLife Extension family in Briscoe and Hall counties and the Panhandle district," Chandler said. "She comes to us with a wealth of education experience and excellent experience and appreciation for the 4-H and youth program. "She will be working with her brother, Josh Brooks, in Hall County, which will be very unique to Extension as they are the only brother and sister coworker situation in our organization," Chandler said. Forman said she's looking forward to getting back to the friendly people of the small towns and to 4-H. She previously worked with Early Childhood Intervention in Lubbock. "I hope we can get the communities involved in different projects," she said. "Having both Briscoe and Hall counties, I know there will be a lot of similar needs. They both have young kids that aren't in 4-H yet, and they have senior citizens to provide programming for." Forman earned a bachelor's degree in family and consumer science and a master's degree in agriculture education from Texas Tech University. Forman was an active 4-Her while growing up in Briscoe County and served in an intern position with Calley Runnels in the AgriLife Extension office in Swisher County, in 2001, where she helped plan and implement programs and projects. 1/5/09 Date: 12/30/08
