Garden City Farm and Ranch Show set Jan. 13 to 15

The Mid America Ag Network, Wichita, Kan., and KIUL Radio, Garden City, Kan., are proud to announce the speaker line up of a brand new indoor farm show for western Kansas.

The Garden City Farm and Ranch Show will feature exhibits from all sectors of the farm and ranch community, plus, a nice line up of agricultural speakers have been confirmed.

On Jan. 13, Larry Steckline, farm broadcaster for the Mid America Ag Network and Kansas State Television Network, will speak at 2:30 p.m.; former secretary of agriculture John Block, will speak at 3 p.m., sponsored by Kan Equip and Farm Credit of southwest Kansas.

There will be a free farmer appreciation chili feed Jan. 14, at noon sponsored by Keller Leopold Insurance. At 12:30 p.m., Luke Schwieterman with Schwieterman Commodities speaks on livestock and grain marketing, sponsored by the Farm Bureau Association of Finney County. At 2 p.m., Greg Wolf speaks with Kennedy and Coe.

On Jan. 15, the afternoon speakers will talk on energy, from ethanol to electric, plus, thousands of dollars in prizes will be given away.

Show times are Jan. 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Jan. 14, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Jan. 15, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Greg Steckline, president of the Mid America Ag Network and KIUL Radio, says, "it's perfect timing for farmers and ranchers to spend part of their day learning about new and innovative ideas for farming and ranching. Farmers are not in the field which gives them a much better opportunity to attend, exhibitor response has been tremendous."

Aside from exhibits, Agricultural speakers will be featured as well as a free lunch Jan. 14 and daily prize giveaways.
