Event can help managers and supervisors in southwest Kansas, northwest Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle

Provalue, LLC, a regional business and human resource consulting firm, announced Jan. 14 they will offer a one-day training for managers and supervisors of agriculturally focused companies. It will be held Jan. 23 in Liberal, Kan. This training will focus on two main areas every business struggles with--how to understand financial statements and effective business communications.

The morning session--Financial Statement Basics will include topics such as how to understand balance sheets, income statements, ratios and budgets. Facilitator Scott DeWeese, president of ProValue, LLC, has almost 20 years of experience in financial consulting in the agricultural field.

In the afternoon, Communication in the Workplace will include topics such as basic communication skills, business e-mail etiquette and listening skills. Facilitator Amanda Worthington, HR Consultant with ProValue, LLC, has a master's in agricultural education and six years of teaching experience.

This training is an excellent opportunity for area managers and supervisors to learn effective strategies and tools to address (problem) areas in their organizations. A second Regional Training will be offered in Enid, Okla., Feb. 25, addressing communication in the workplace and sharpening customer service skills. Registration for both is limited; you may enroll online at www.provaluellc.com or call 620-802-0723.
