Colorado Big and Small Conference Feb. 18 t0 21

Colorado

The third annual Colorado Big and Small Conference and Trade Show will take place at Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley, Colo., Feb. 18 to 21. This conference will begin with a Colorado Organic Producers Association "July Farm Tour" on Feb. 18 featuring Berry Patch Farm and Full Circle Farm. This tour will depart from the Southwest Weld County Annex parking lot at 9:30 a.m. Registration for this tour is $25 for COPA members and $35 for non members. The rest of the Conference will then be held at Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley. On Feb. 19 and 20 the Crops and Livestock Business Conference will feature organic, greenhouse, Community Supported Agriculture, alternative livestock, wind, solar, climate, 2008 farm bill, labor management, COPA annual meeting, and more. Then Feb. 21 we will conclude our programs with a Small Acreage Conference--featuring soils, grazing, pasture management, weed management, grass establishment, poisonous plants, and information on tractors.

The conference offers tremendous value compared to other similar conferences in U.S., and features top notch sessions with both farmers and agriculture professionals as presenters. Our registration fees for this conference are $35/day, $60 for two of the three days or $75/conference. To register or for more information please call the Weld County Extension Office at 970-304-6535 or e-mail Fred Petersen at fpetersen@co.weld.co.us and I will send you a copy of the brochure in a return e-mail.
