Cattle program set Jan. 20 in Minneapolis

Kansas

A cattle program will be held Jan. 20, 5 p.m., at the VFW Hall in Minneapolis.

Dr. Larry Hollis, KSU Research and Extension beef production medicine, will discuss PI-BVD testing the cowherd, new animal health products, using injectables and levels of vaccine protection.

Bob Gillen, head and rangeland scientist, KSU Western Kansas Agricultural Research Centers, will discuss summer grazing systems.

Reservations for the meal can be made by calling the Minneapolis Extension office at 785 392-2147 or the Salina Extension office 785-309-5850 by noon Jan. 16. There is a $5 charge for the meal.

The meeting is sponsored by the Central Kansas Extension District, Ada Grain, Bank of Tescott, Bennington State Bank, Delphos Coop, Mid Kansas Coop, Farm Credit Services of Salina, State Bank of Delphos, and Ottawa County Bank.
