The Western Center for Integrated Resource Management and Colorado State University Extension will hold a meeting at the Roundhouse in Wray, Colo., on Feb. 23, to discuss how the beef business is restructuring. The program begins promptly at 9 a.m. and will run through 3 p.m. The cost of attending the program is $15, which will cover the lunch and handout materials provided at the meeting.
The meeting agenda includes several important topics for the beef producer of tomorrow. WCIRM fellows will be discussing what is driving changes in the beef business. Dr. Jack Whittier will share ideas on how to meet cattle nutritional needs in a changing environment. Resource management decisions for keeping the ranch operating will be discussed by Dr. Roy Roath. Finally, Dr. Norm Dalsted will be sharing ideas on how informed decisions can help determine ranch outcomes in our current economic environment. There has also been time in the program allotted for ranch operations decision structure and analysis, as well as your questions.
