112 Limousin, Lim-Flex cattle show on the Hill in Denver

The National Western Stock Show Limousin and Lim-Flex open shows were Jan. 13 in the Stadium Arena on the Hill in Denver, Colo. The NWSS is one of the North American Limousin Foundation's four major Medal of Excellence shows. Jack Ward, Plattsburg, Mo., sorted the 32 Lim-Flex females, nine Lim-Flex bulls, 53 Limousin females and 18 Limousin bulls.

In the Limousin bull show, EXLR Saturn 040S won the grand champion banner after winning Division 6. Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla., and Tubmill Creek Farms, New Florence, Pa., own the March 2, 2006, son of Carrousels Pure Power.

The reserve grand champion Limousin bull was EXLR Total Dominance 8008, the Division 5 champion. The Feb. 8, 2007, son of Carrousels Pure Power belongs to Express Ranches.

MAGS Teaspoon, the winner of Division 4, went on to claim the title of grand champion Limousin female. Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, Colo., owns the April 16, 2007, daughter of KAJO Responder 120R.

MAGS Uahuka came from Division 1 to become reserve grand champion Limousin female. Magness Land and Cattle and Bella Star Limousin, Mexico, Mo., own the March 27, 2008, daughter of DHVO Deuce 132R.

Grand champion honors in the Lim-Flex bull show went to EXLR Southpaw 835S, the Division 3 winner and a March 16, 2006, son of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXAR Scotch Cap 1548. Express Ranches and the Glebe Farm, Charles City, Va., own him.

Magness Land and Cattle owns the reserve grand champion Lim-Flex bull. MAGS Tivo--a Feb. 13, 2007, son of JCL Lodestar 27L out of MAGS 13M--came from Division 2.

MAGS Teakettle followed her win in Division 3 by becoming grand champion Lim-Flex female. Magness Land and Cattle owns the March 11, 2007, daughter of DHVO Deuce 132R out of HA Blackcap 1089.

Sennett Emblynette 723T claimed reserve grand champion Lim-Flex heifer for Ellie Sennett, Waynetown, Ind. The Division 3 reserve champion is a Feb. 1, 2007, daughter of SAV 004 Predominant 4438 out of Sennett Heather 448P.

Deer Valley Farm, Fayetteville, Tenn., claimed the Premier Breeder honors. Express Ranches was the Premier Exhibitor.

In the juniors' Limousin female show Jan. 11, judge Jeff Sargent, Denison, Texas, evaluated 36 entries. Abby Hendrickson, Adair, Okla., led the grand champion. MAGS Torrey is a March 17, 2007, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon. EXLR Luvly 036T claimed reserve grand champion honors for Michael Mitchell, Mangum, Okla. She is a Feb. 1, 2007, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N. Lee Roy Lawrence, Anton, Texas, received champion showman honors.
