Wintersteen named to Farm Foundation's Board of Trustees

Iowa

Wendy Wintersteen, dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, has been named to the Board of Trustees of the Farm Foundation.

Wintersteen, holder of the first Endowed Deanship at Iowa State University, director of the Iowa Agriculture and Home Economics Experiment Station and professor of entomology, was named to the board in June 2008.

Farm Foundation works as a catalyst for sound public policy by providing information to foster deeper understanding of issues shaping the future of agriculture, the food system and rural communities. The Foundation does not lobby or advocate. Governing the Foundation is a 29 member board that includes leaders from production agriculture, agribusiness, academia and rural communities.
