Wheat seed to take center stage at meeting Feb. 24Oklahoma AgriPro Wheat will co-sponsor a meeting for farmers, seedsmen, educators and researchers entitled "Moving the Wheat Seed Industry Forward," Feb. 24, at the Express Event Center in Oklahoma City. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided (catered by Klein's Catering) and the Oklahoma Wheat Commission will furnish cinnamon rolls. Speakers will include Daryl Strouts, executive director of the Kansas Crop Improvement Association; Mark Hodges, executive director of Plains Grains; Dr. Brett Carver, Oklahoma State University wheat breeder; Dr. Frank Gilstrap, center director, Texas AgriLife; Dr. John Moffatt, AgriPro wheat breeder; Jeff Krehbiel, wheat producer, Hydro, Okla.; and Dr. Allan Fritz, Kansas State University wheat breeder.
