Ottawa County Conservation District awards announced

Kansas

The Ottawa County Conservation District hosted its annual Bankers Award Tour recently. Conservation awards were voted upon at the tour, and awards will be presented at the annual meeting.

Winners are:

Soil Conservation Award Winner, Bob and Maxine Behrendt;

Water Conservation Award Winner, Steve and Sue Clanton;

Water Quality Award Winner, Kent Crosson;

Grassland Award Winner, Stella Barrett Trust, Tom Barrett;

Windbreak Award Winner, Darlene Davis;

Wildlife Award Winner, Bill Hoffman;

Energy Conservation Award Winner, Don Lott and Bill Little.

All nominees and winners are invited to the annual meeting, Jan. 30, 2010 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Minneapolis Grade School gym with a free catered meal and entertainment.
