Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show presents the Texas A&M 25th annual Panhandle Farm and Ranch Management Symposium

The Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show will once again host the annual Texas A&M Annual Panhandle Farm and Ranch Management Symposium, now in its 25th year, and will take place Dec. 2 in the Grand Plaza Room at the Amarillo Civic Center. The management symposium will follow the ninth annual Texas Commodity Symposium, which begins at 9 a.m., in the Grand Plaza Room. The management symposium registration will begin at 1 p.m., and offers up to 3.5 continuing education units. Registration for continuing education units will be allowed during the morning Texas Commodity Symposium, however the credits will only be given to those attending the afternoon portion.

Key topics of discussion for this year's Management Symposium include: Thoughts from JD Ragland, Randall County Extension Agent, Agriculture; Dr. Don Renchie, Asst. Professor for Ag and Environmental Safety; Dr. Ed Bynum, Asst. Professor and Extension Entomologist; Water Management and Yields through Tillage Comparisons, Dr. Louis Baumhardt, ARS/USDA Researcher, Bushland; Controlling Roundup Tolerant Weeds such as Bindweed and Horseweed, Dr. Brent Bean, Professor and Extension Agronomist

The Symposium will adjourn at 5:30 p.m., with the handing out of continuing education units. The Symposium is included in the $2 show admission donation to the FFA.
