Moore, Weaver earn

All-American honors in meat judging

Texas

Two Texas A&M University students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences have earned honors in meat judging.

Melanie Moore of Meyersville was selected for the 2009 Senior Division Meat Judging All-American First Team, and Bryan Weaver of Center Point was selected for the All-American Second Team.

The two were chosen at the International Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, which took place Nov. 15 at Tyson Foods in Dakota City, Neb.

The honor is based on individual rankings in American Meat Science Association-sponsored contests and academic achievement.
