5 State Beef Conference scheduled Sept. 2On Sept. 2, Colorado State University, Oklahoma State University, New Mexico State University, West Texas A&M, and Kansas State University will be hosting the Colorado Session 5 State Beef Conference in La Junta, Colo. The meeting will take place in the Student Center, Banquet Room 116, at Otero Junior College. Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the conference will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided. Topics to be covered include: Winter Cow Nutrition, Controlling Production Costs, Cash versus Grid Marketing, Market Outlook, Value Added Opportunities, and What It Takes to Participate in Value Added Programs.
