5 State Beef Conference scheduled Sept. 2

On Sept. 2, Colorado State University, Oklahoma State University, New Mexico State University, West Texas A&M, and Kansas State University will be hosting the Colorado Session 5 State Beef Conference in La Junta, Colo. The meeting will take place in the Student Center, Banquet Room 116, at Otero Junior College.

Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the conference will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided.

Topics to be covered include: Winter Cow Nutrition, Controlling Production Costs, Cash versus Grid Marketing, Market Outlook, Value Added Opportunities, and What It Takes to Participate in Value Added Programs. Speakers are beef industry experts from the participating universities.

Cost of registration is $35/person or $50/couple. Contact John Wagner at 719-829-4663 ext. 10 for more information.
