Sorghum Board meeting scheduled

Nebraska

The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board has scheduled a public meeting for Aug. 20. The meeting will convene at 9 a.m., in the Department of Agriculture's Platte Conference Room, located on the 4th Floor of the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, Neb.

In addition to regular Board business, the meeting will include appointment to fill a vacancy on the Board, election of officers, and naming of cooperator program representatives for the 2009-2010 Fiscal Year. Funding requests will be considered and reports will be provided on program activities in the areas of research, market development, producer education and federal legislation. A copy of the agenda is available by e-mailing sorghum.board@nebraska.gov or by phoning the Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board at 402-471-4276.
