Farm Survey

Missouri Century Farms recognized

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP)--Two more farms in southwest Missouri are being added to the list of the state's "Century Farms.''

The Missouri Century Farm Program recognizes farms that are still productive and have been in the same family for at least 100 years.

The University of Missouri extension office says two century farms in Greene County will be honored Aug. 2. Those farms will join the other 91 century farms in Greene County.

To qualify, farms have to have been family-owned for 100 years or more and have at least 40 acres of the original land still adding to the overall farm income.
