Fall Field Day set for Aug. 18 at K-State's Scandia Irrigation Field

Kansas State University will host a Fall Field Day at its K-State Research and Extension Irrigation Experiment Field near Scandia Aug. 18, starting at 5:30 p.m. The field is approximately 2.5 miles west of Scandia on U.S. Highway 36.

Topics to be addressed during the field day include:

--Starter Fertilizer in Corn;

--Stem Borer Update;

--Phosphorus Fertilization Issues; and

--Dealing with Compaction.

A meal sponsored by Simplot-Scandia Terminal will follow the field day tour. More information about the event is available by calling the North Central Kansas Experiment Field at 785-335-2836.
