Kansas Wheat unveils revamped website
Visitors to the Kansas Wheat website will notice a fresh look, new features and easier navigation--all of which combine to make www.KansasWheat.org the definitive wheat resource for farmers, consumers and wheat buyers. ¬
The site is the information portal for the Kansas Wheat Commission and Kansas Association of Wheat Growers.
New features to the website include:
The "Kansas Wheat Blog," which allows staff, KWC Commissioners and KAWG Board Members to offer insight and anecdotes. Readers can leave feedback--via a moderated feedback option--to the blog postings. A "My Kansas Wheat" function, which allows KAWG members to update member profiles, see when their membership is due and register in advance for upcoming meetings and events.
A mobile-friendly version for cell phones and PDAs.
Improved markets information and current weather radar, plus links to other weather information.
A link to Kansas Wheat on "Twitter."
Easy-to-use Photo, Recipe and Video galleries.
¬ "Our goal is to make www.KansasWheat.org an informative and interactive community in which wheat farmers and consumers can come together and get easy access to a wealth of information. With our revamped Web site, the foundation has been laid for a great user experience," says Aaron Harries, interim chief executive officer of Kansas Wheat.
Websites, Harries adds, are always evolving. "Ours is no different. Farmers, consumers and buyers will want to come back often to see the new features and components we add to our website," he explains.
The site was developed by LogicMaze, a Hutchinson company whose clients also include the Kansas State Fair and Kansas Sampler.
