Salers: "Reach your peak in Wyoming"

Celebrating their 25th Annual Junior National Show, Junior Salers breeders from 14 states came together in Laramie, Wyo., July 8 to 11, to participate in the heifer show and other educational contests and seminars.¬

¬ The competition, held at the University of Wyoming Animal Livestock Center--Hansen Teaching Arena, was spirited and of a very high standard. Judge Sam Carter of Julesburg, Colo., addressed the crowd and commented that the real value of the Junior National Program "is that it is something you do as a family at home that means so much. You are raising an outstanding set of young people." He added, "The quality at this show met my expectations for an excellent National Show. The soundness of the breed points to a tremendous future." Judge Carter thanked parents and the ASJA Directors for giving him the opportunity to work with their sons and daughters. "It has been very gratifying," he said.
