Superior video auction reportThe Superior Video auction reported offerings of 32,700 head April 10, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas, Compared to the last sale, feeder steers and heifers traded generally $1 to $5 higher, however instances over $6 higher on light calves in areas where the grazing outlook has improved from recent rains or snow. The supply includes 57% feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds, 65% of supply was steers and 35% heifers. Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2 to 3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 3 to 6 cent slide on yearlings and 4 to 10 on calves. Deliveries current through August 2009.
