16th Youth Cattle Show set for Belleville

Kansas

The 16th Annual Northern Exposure Steer and Heifer Show for youth will be held April 19 at the North Central Kansas Fairgrounds in Belleville.

The show is open to all 4-H and FFA members. It generally attracts youth from a wide area of Kansas and Nebraska and this year inquiries have been made from Iowa and Oklahoma, said committee members.

The Northern Exposure Steer and Heifer Show is sponsored by area livestock producers and local merchants. Events start in evening preceding the show April 19.

Champion market animal and Supreme breeding heifer will each be awarded $500 cash and a banner. Reserve champs receive $250 cash and a banner, Champion and Reserve Showmen receive elite prizes. The show features a 75 percent payback in every class. The Kansas Club Calf Association sanctions the event.
