LE MARS, Iowa (AP)--A northwest Iowa farmer is scheduled to appear in Plymouth County District Court on March 30 for a plea hearing on an animal neglect charge.
Andrew Vaske (VASS'-kee) was charged earlier this month after authorities say they found livestock at two rural Remsen locations did not have enough feed and water. Officials say about 30 cattle were seized and several others had died.
About a week later, the Plymouth County sheriff's office filed two charges of failing to dispose of a dead animal and four charges of failing to vaccinate terriers and coonhounds.
Vaske is set to appear in court on April 6 on the other charges.
