The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 800 head April 3, compared to 2,500 head last week and 1,800 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.
Compared to last week, based on a limited test, steers and heifers trended fully steady. Demand and trade activity was moderate to good. The total receipts consisted of 14% steers and 86% heifers, with 72% of the total offerings weighing over 600 pounds.
